High Performance Functional MMA for the Street & the Cage!

Thank you for your interest in CombatCoaching.com’s affiliated gym in Potchefstroom.  We have been representing CombatCoaching.com in Potchefstroom since the year 2000. 

CombatCoaching.com’s founder and head coach, Morné Swanepoel, is regarded as one of the top coaches of MMA and functional martial arts in South Africa, and in fact was one of the pioneers of MMA in this country.  We were training in functional mixed martial arts long before the UFC or MMA became popular here. 

We have a unique approach in that we train MMA as a complete martial art.  That means regardless if you are interested in competing or self defence, the training can be adjusted to suit your needs, and in fact these two approaches complement each other to create a more balanced person and fighter.

Training with aliveness in functional martial arts against a resisting opponent is an excellent tool in the road to self discovery, personal growth and being a confident person without having the need to be cocky and go looking for trouble to “proof” yourself to others.

We pride ourselves in our healthy, ego-free training environment, alive training methods, personal attention and realistic approach.

No one is ever forced to do any drills they are not comfortable with.  You grow at your own pace with progressive resistance.  Don’t be concerned about your fitness and skill level: do what you can and take a break when you need to.  Before long your body will adapt and you will be able to enjoy and complete the whole class!
